Rufus & Coco: Elasticised Litter Tray Liners
The Australian Business Award for Product Excellence recognises leading products and services that provide exceptional solutions for new and existing market needs.
“Our success in building Rufus & Coco as Australia’s most awarded pet brand has been hard won, as most of our competitors are large multinationals that have well entrenched relationships with the major retailers.”
“Pets are increasingly recognised as an integral part of the family. Besides love and companionship, they give owners a sense of purpose. Pets offer us humans so much, especially in terms of mental and emotional health.”
“Together with my team of animal lovers we recognise the importance of pets in our lives. We are determined to offer people and their fur babies a better and more original range of pet care products – one that really made makes pets happier, healthier and perhaps even a little more stylish.”[/testimonial][/testimonials][separator style_type=”none” top_margin=”10″ bottom_margin=”10″ sep_color=”” border_size=”” icon=”” icon_circle=”” icon_circle_color=”” width=”” alignment=”center” class=”” id=””]
As cat owners themselves, the Rufus & Coco team have felt the pain of trying to tip used litter into a plastic bag and then the struggle to find a place around the house to scrub out the unsanitary damp litter that sticks to the tray. Rufus & Coco Elasticised Litter Tray Liners are cat litter tray liners that are elasticised and gusseted for a perfect fit. To use, simply stretch the liner over the tray then fill with cat litter as usual. The elasticised liners will stay firmly in place even through the most diligent pet’s rearranging and the potential for accidental spillage when changing the tray contents is also substantially reduced.
Pet owners no longer need to tip litter mess into a separate bag; simply pop the liner sides back into the centre of the tray and whisk the whole thing away in seconds. Pleasantly scented and naturally degradable, Rufus & Coco Elasticised Litter Liners are a pleasure to use and a great choice for the environment. Rufus & Coco liners are made from polyethylene plastic blended with an additive called D2W®. This innovative additive causes regular plastic to degrade within six months, once exposed to heat, light and micro-organisms. The plastic degrades in the same way as a leaf only quicker, leaving no toxic residues or fragments of plastic behind. D2W® does not affect the performance of the plastic, meaning the liners are strong, flexible and durable, without contributing to long-term landfill waste.
With a myriad of litter trays available for cat owners to purchase, the Rufus & Coco team have done their research and offer two sizes of liner – standard and Large – to fit most trays. To continually improve on the product’s sales and performance, 2016 will see the launch of bulk packs of liners and the introduction of reinforced machine stitching for added durability.
Innovation lies at the core of Rufus & Coco’s success in offering the most original, trusted and inspired products to ensure that furry, feathered and feline friends worldwide look good and feel great. Rufus & Coco are being recognised for a Product Excellence Award in the Australian Business Awards 2016 for their Elasticised Litter Tray Liners.
The Australian Business Awards are the regional chapter of an integrated, hierarchical leadership program conducted on a national and international level. Eligible organisations from each region are invited to participate in the international chapter of the program at The World Business Awards. Conducted annually and currently in the second year of its international launch, The World Business Awards seeks to engage with the world’s business, innovation and technology leaders through a global recognition and knowledge building initiative that is underpinned by the program’s established framework. The program engages with organisations worldwide to benchmark the full spectrum of their products, services and initiatives and to review their business performance. The cycle culminates in the recognition and celebration of organisations that implement world-class business initiatives and industry leading products and services on a prominent and far-reaching scale. All entries must be entered in the regional chapter where the organisation is based.
Organisational participation includes private companies, publicly listed companies, multinational subsidiaries, not-for-profit organisations, non-government organisations, educational institutions, franchise systems, partnerships, government departments, government agencies, local government and statutory bodies operating in Australia.
Initiatives can include but are not limited to projects, programs, processes, systems, technologies, developments, ventures and undertakings.
Entries are assessed utilising a robust and dynamic framework to ensure that the assessment process is pertinent and objective. The World Business Awards Framework (WBA Framework) is utilised as a structured model of assessment that enables the participating organisations to be benchmarked against world class performance standards. The Framework consists of specialised assessment modules pertaining to the evaluation criteria for each of the award categories. The criteria and sub-criteria provide a robust set of requirements that are used as the methodology for benchmarking and learning among the participating organisations.
Organisations that participate are provided with the unique opportunity to benchmark themselves against the top performers globally. The recipients are acknowledged for their achievements and recognised as the elite of their industry earning a place amongst a distinguished group by having their products, projects, initiatives, contributions and achievements recognised on a prominent and far-reaching scale. The program provides the ultimate platform for building knowledge, increasing brand awareness, equity, loyalty and retention through increased exposure, recognition and prestige. This establishes a valuable resource that can be used extensively to create opportunities for publicity, positive organisational profiling and heightened brand awareness within the respective industries both nationally and internationally.
