Interchange

Interchange has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Change Management in The Australian Business Awards 2022. The Australian Business Award for Change Management [CMA] recognises organisations that have successfully implemented initiatives that demonstrate excellence in change management.

Interchange has been recognised as an ABA100 Winner for the second time in three years for Change Management [CMA] in The Australian Business Awards 2022.

Having worked as a consultant for over 14 years, founder and managing director of Interchange, Gabrielle Harris set out to build a business that would bring something new and exciting to the world of organisational culture, behaviour and performance. Fast forward ten years and the company has grown into a multi-award-winning, diverse team of specialist consultants, creatives, strategists, and facilitators.

What differentiates Interchange is their creative, innovative and customised approach to the design and delivery of its programs. Their unique methods allow them to better engage participants and provide them with an unforgettable experience. By breaking out of the traditional classroom-style training, they are able to further instil messages and generate lasting results.

Interchange Founder and MD, Gabrielle Harris says, “We are honoured to be recognised once again for our achievements in Change Management by the ABA. This award recognises the incredible hard work and dedication from the Interchange team and the great success achieved by our organisation-wide, culture transformation program for Coates.”

Coates is more than just Australia’s largest equipment hire provider. They’re an end-to-end solutions company spanning dry hire, temporary works engineering, industrial shutdowns and training. Coates is a well-recognised brand in the market with more than 3,300 employees spread over 164 branches across the country.

Coates services a number of sectors and markets however their market share in 2019 was below historical levels. Coates wanted to roll out a new strategy that would allow them to increase market share and accelerate growth. To successfully deliver on this strategy, it was recognised that the culture would need to shift.

Interchange created an engaging, multi-touchpoint learning journey called ‘The Hire Road’ delivered across all states in Australia for Coates. The program was designed and delivered over multiple stages using Interchange’s unique methodologies and creativity.

Harris says, “We focused on fearlessly naming the issues, facilitating up-close, fostering genuine interactions and using immersive delivery techniques to inspire a myriad of positive attitudes and behaviours. Every employee at Coates had a personal connection with ‘The Hire Road’ and helped drive the momentum for change.”
