Sydney Scaleup Hub
Sydney Scaleup Hub has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Service Innovation in The Australian Business Awards 2022. The Australian Business Award for Service Innovation [SIA] recognises products and services that provide innovative solutions for business and market needs in the field of service management and service delivery.
“It is an honour for the Stone & Chalk Group to be awarded ABA100® Winner for Service Innovation in The Australian Business Awards 2022, in recognition of our Sydney Scaleup hub at Tech Central. In partnership with the NSW Government, our new scaleup hub is designed to power scaleups that are shaping Australia’s economic future. It is the largest tech hub of its kind in Australia, and a place of convergence for great minds, founders, talent, capital & commercial growth. As the largest innovation community in Australia, the Stone & Chalk Group is extremely proud to be helping Australian and International technology companies scale and commercialise success.”
Founded in 2015 as a not-for-profit organisation and entrusted by governments with the operations of several innovation hubs across Australia, Stone & Chalk aims to advance with one mission: to transform Australia into a sustainable technology-driven economy. While the benefits of such an economy are undeniable, the pathways to achieving it require extensive innovation of the service currently on offer to the residents of said hubs.
With over 7 years of experience in running facilities and offering award-winningservices, Stone & Chalk understands first hand the amount of support it takes to propela startup into commercialisation. However, the notion – and the reality – that such support should stop as soon as a product successfully hits the market often deprives the Australian people and organisations of real, tangible benefits that these innovative solutions can provide, if only they could become more accessible.
In response to entrepreneurs’ needs for greater involvement from resourceful entities beyond the successful commercialisation of an idea, Stone & Chalk has established the Scaleup Hub.
The Scaleup Hub is a project, a venture and an undertaking borne out of the ever-growing needs of startups and scaleups for continued support until such time as their innovations can better serve the public and a wider range of enterprises, and contribute significantly to the economy’s underlying productivity. On offer to the community of entrepreneurs are extensive networks of like-minded founders and investors, world-class expertise and talent, professional guidance and – through strategic partnerships – cutting-edge infrastructure.
