TechnologyOne

TechnologyOne has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Community Contribution in The Australian Business Awards 2023. The Australian Business Award for Community Contribution [CCA] recognises organisations that implement initiatives that have a positive impact on the community and generate outcomes that have a long-term benefit.

TechnologyOne is Australia’s largest enterprise software company. For more than 35 years, the company has supported its customers in Australia and around the globe with innovative enterprise software incorporating new technologies as they emerge, allowing customers to focus on transforming their businesses rather than technology. The company’s deeply integrated Software as a Service enterprise resource planning (SaaS ERP) solution is used by 1,300 leading corporations, government agencies, local councils and universities and is available on any device.

In 2016, TechnologyOne established the TechnologyOne Foundation. The Foundation is a multimillion-dollar annual commitment to support various Australian and international charities and community organisations dedicated to helping disadvantaged children

and young people create their pathways to success. This long-term initiative reflects the values, culture and aspirations TechnologyOne looks for in its employees.

The Foundation is part of the Pledge 1% corporate philanthropy movement, which challenges individuals and companies to commit 1% of their profit, product and time to their communities. As part of this initiative, TechnologyOne gives its team members 2.5 days of leave per year (the equivalent of 1% of their time) to spend volunteering. To fulfil the one per cent product component, the Foundation donates one per cent of TechnologyOne’s new annual recurring revenue to its charity partners. It also donates one per cent of the company’s annual net profit after tax. In FY22, the Foundation donated over $726,000 to our communities through annual partnership donations, scholarships and fundraising programmes. The Foundation also provided more than $300,000 worth of TechnologyOne software products for free to not-for-profit organisations. Meanwhile, the company’s employees volunteered over 476 days’ worth to the Foundation’s partners and other community organisations.

The high level of engagement from the company’s leadership and employees was critical to the Foundation’s success. This was complemented by the financial support from TechnologyOne for the Foundation and its initiatives, mainly through the Pledge 1% promise. TechnologyOne’s Foundation Champions – representatives from all business units and regions – ensure the Foundation delivers on its strategy. Enabling employees to volunteer for a worthy cause in the communities and offering a dollar-matching program for all donations and fundraising has also contributed to the Foundation’s overall success.
