Compact Home Lifts

Compact Home Lifts has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Marketing Excellence in The Australian Business Awards 2025. The Australian Business Award for Marketing Excellence [MXA] recognises organisations that have successfully implemented initiatives that demonstrate excellence in marketing.

Compact Home Lifts is an Australian-owned company transforming accessibility in residential living. With a clear mission to remove the barriers of affordability, complexity and supply that have long challenged the home lift industry, the business has reshaped how seniors and people with mobility needs experience independence in their own homes. Compact Home Lifts has demonstrated marketing excellence by transforming the way residential accessibility is communicated and delivered in Australia.

At the heart of this success is a deep understanding of its customers — older Australians determined to remain in the homes they love, as well as people of all ages living with mobility challenges. These are audiences who have historically been underserved by an industry dominated by hard-sell tactics, high costs and complex solutions. Compact Home Lifts deliberately chose a different path, building its brand on empathy, credibility, clarity, trust and an unrelenting focus on service.

Compact Home Lifts’ Elevating Accessibility for Australian Homes initiative repositioned the business to focus on customer knowledge and service. Marketing strategy was tailored to address both the emotional and practical challenges of finding solutions to accessibility in the home, with campaigns designed to speak directly to customers and their families.

A strategic mix of digital, print, radio, and television channels was used to build awareness, while premium new showrooms in Sydney and Melbourne provided customers, architects, and builders the opportunity to experience lifts in action. These showrooms also became hubs for training and consistency across sales, installation and service, ensuring the marketing promise was matched by delivery.

Marketing collateral was made inclusive and accessible, from large-print brochures and captioned videos to straightforward NDIS funding guides, reflecting Compact Home Lifts’ commitment to education, support, clarity and customer care.

The results have been exceptional. Sales rose by 74 per cent in FY24/25, with more than 600 deposit sales in a single year — a 30 per cent increase. Revenue increased by 85 per cent, gross profit by 430 per cent, and customer trust is evident in over 1,000 five-star Google reviews and a 95 per cent call answer rate.

Operational innovations — including investment in local warehousing to cut lead times from up to 12 weeks to just four, plus bringing installation in-house to ensure quality and service — reinforced the marketing message and removed barriers to customer confidence.

Compact Home Lifts’ marketing excellence is evident not only in its outstanding growth but in raising the standard of communication and service across the residential lift industry in Australia. By putting customers first, aligning marketing with genuine solutions, and delivering on its promises, the company has improved accessibility outcomes for thousands of Australians while achieving sustainable and scalable business success.
