Churchill Education has been recognised as an ABA100® Winner for Community Contribution in The Australian Business Awards 2016. The Australian Business Award for Community Contribution recognises organisations for initiatives that positively impact on the community and generate outcomes that have a long term benefit.
Churchill Education has specialised in Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for a decade and has developed a simple approach to recognising experience. They offer approximately 70 qualifications through both RPL and training, in a blended delivery model that fits to student’s needs and location. Churchill Education understands and appreciates the value of community and see themselves as a part of several communities at local, national and international levels.
At a local level, Churchill Education contributes to the chaplain’s wage at Samford State School. Churchill Education also contributes funds to support the continuation of the in-school program at 96.5FM. The station has a program of broadcasting live from primary schools in the area to create an exciting and enriching experience for participating schools.
At a national level, Churchill Education supports Mates 4 Mates. They implemented the Scholarships 4 Mates Program which results in 16 people annually accessing their courses for free. Churchill education also supports The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program and has supported the initiatives It’s in the Bag and Help Kids like Nick. The Churchill Foundation was established to provide scholarships to students in need of assistance to complete their qualifications and any team member can nominate a student that they believe deserves the support of the foundation. Every Christmas, each team member is also allocated $100 to donate to a registered charity of their choice.
At an international level, Churchill Education supports and donates to Hands Across the Water which provide a safe environment, education and improvement opportunities to at risk Thai children and their communities. Not only does Churchill encourage team leaders to participate in their events, but they also pay staff airfares, accommodation, transfers and provide time off work.
