Nissan Motor Co Ltd is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer. Nissan’s headquarters are in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. 2022 marked a year of unprecedented change that set the foundation for years into the future for Nissan Australia. At the beginning of 2022, it became clear that the launch of four new models and new hybrid technology would occur throughout the year. The models introduced were the Nissan Z and three SUV models: the Qashqai, the X-Trail, and the Pathfinder. Additionally, Nissan introduced the unique hybrid technology e-POWER & e4ORCE.

Within Nissan Australia, the Nissan Academy is responsible for training the Dealerships of the Nissan Dealer Network. This includes training for sales, service and workshop roles. The Nissan Academy Australia takes care of the Australian market and New Zealand, where the exact scope of product introductions would occur almost on a parallel schedule. A significant challenge for the Nissan Academy was to develop a training program for Dealer Staff, which covered four model launches and a new and unique hybrid technology. The objective of the Nissan Academy was to provide training for all of these models and technologies for Dealership Staff in Australia and New Zealand. Therefore Nissan staff will have adequate product knowledge when advising customers at the start of the sale.

The initiative is called the “Future of Nissan Training & Driving Experience”. This blended learning program encompasses digital training resources, live streams and physical product experience.
